Straight Up Builders Tauranga is a local building company led by Garret and Dave, and supported by a skilled team of carpenters and trusted sub-trades.
Since 2010, Straight Up Builders has become known for transparency, quality, and genuine client care.
Our story
Garret started the business with a simple goal: to do good work and treat people right. After years of hands-on experience and a drive to help clients, he set out on his own.
Dave joined as a partner in 2025, after nine years working at Straight Up Builders, bringing complementary skills and a shared work ethic. Together, they are building quality homes and leading a team that values transparency and long-term relationships with clients and local trades.
Our business name reflects our approach: straight up. As honest and reliable builders in Tauranga, we get much of our work through referrals and word of mouth. We focus on treating every client with respect and making sure each project is completed to a high standard.
